Foxes & Fowl is a movement committed to exploring and responding to the unexpected ways that God is at work, in and around us.

As Christians, we believe that our whole lives have to do with God and what God is up to in the world. Our faith needs to find shape and form in whatever we’re doing, wherever we are. In a world that often seems to pull us apart, we’re chasing after the wholeness that God made us for. Foxes & Fowl is a developing ecosystem, designed to help us live integrated, whole-life Christian lives. We want to be a community where faith can be explored, deep questions can be asked, conversations that matter can be had, and lives will be changed.

The name Foxes & Fowl is a reference to the book of the prophet Isaiah, in the Hebrew Scriptures, chapter 43:18-21. There we hear God saying that a new thing is about to be done—not in the expected holy places, but in the wilderness; and not among the expected creatures, but the wild animals and birds will be paying attention, singing thanksgiving and praise for the wonder of what God is doing.

This ministry is a ministry of the Pacific Mountain Regional Council of the United Church of Canada. As we work together, we seek to be a support of welcome and safety for all people, unconditionally.

A New Creed

We are not alone,
    we live in God’s world.

We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
    who has come in Jesus,
       the Word made flesh,
       to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others
       by the Spirit.

We trust in God.

We are called to be the Church:
    to celebrate God’s presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
    to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
       our judge and our hope.

In life, in death, in life beyond death,
    God is with us.

We are not alone.

    Thanks be to God.
